Gracehill Vineyard Estate

Marrying next to a lake on manicured grounds, with grapevines in the background is a dream come true for many couples, and it can be for you at the elegant Gracehill near Kumeu.

It’s little wonder it’s known as Auckland’s favourite venue. Gracehill has hosted weddings since the beginning of the century, building a reputation for quality service at a reasonable cost.

Not that you’ll be thinking about that during your ceremony at the pagoda or on the lawn, or while having photos taken amongst the vines, beside the lake or on the bridge over the stream.


Tui Hills

Get your slice of heaven at this enchanting venue nestled in the bush of the Waitakere Ranges. You’ll feel a million miles from the hustle and bustle of downtown Auckland which is just 30 minutes away.

Fully renovated in 2019, Tui Hills brings together fresh, modern facilities with character and charm of the original venue hall. The native garden theme throughout will give your wedding a uniquely kiwi feel.

Our pop-up weddings are much more than just the ceremony. After the photos, there’ll be time to celebrate with your friends and family over canapes and drinks served by our team while music plays in the background – perfect to relax and enjoy the day.


Pick a range of hot and cold canapes that will complement the selection of house wines and beers. Each venue offers a range of familiar favourites and gourmet delights that will keep everyone happy.


After your ceremony, drinks from the house list are available from a pouring station or the bar.  The two-hour package includes prosecco or local bubbles, still wines and beers with soft drinks, juices, tea and coffee.


Cutting the cake is an age-old tradition that completes your wedding. The fabulous Lemon Tree Kitchen can create a one or two-tier cake with a selection of flavours, decorated with gorgeous flowers.

Choose Your Celebrant…

Finding the right celebrant can make all the difference to your ceremony. They’ll help you organise your vows, help settle your nerves and guide you along the way on the day.

Just as importantly, they can set the tone of the ceremony – serious, lighthearted, irreverent, solemn – and make your guests feel welcome and included.

You can choose from our group of our hugely-experienced preferred celebrants. We’ll guide you through the process of finding the right one.  Or, you can bring another celebrant you’ve chosen separately.


…And Your Photographer

Every wedding creates lasting memories. For that reason, it’s important that your wedding photographs are taken by someone skilled in capturing such precious memories, making you and the day look wonderful.

That means a safe pair of hands from an experienced pro. We’re fortunate to have a selection of seasoned wedding photographers for you to choose from.

You can select, based on their style, knowing that we high-recommend their work. In years to come you’ll be happy to show off those wonderful images. Or, you can bring along another photographer you’ve chosen.

Questions & Answers


Q: How many people can we have at a pop-up wedding?
A: The minimum is 10 people, including the couple marrying. The maximum is 100.

Q: What times are the weddings?
A: At Tui Hills the start times are 1pm or 4pm, at Gracehill 10am or 1pm.

Q: What days/dates are available?
A: Most pop-ups are held between Sunday and Friday, with summer Saturdays available at an extra charge depending on availability.

Q: How does the pricing work?
A: Venue hire is $695 ($1,690 on summer Saturdays) plus $69 per person for food and drink. Children aged 2-12 are half price, under two years free. The Celebration Package ($495), celebrant ($600) and photographer ($800-$1,000) are additional. You can also hire items in the Celebration Package individually.

Q: How do we choose what we want?
A: It's easy. We send you an online proposal that includes menus, information about upsize choices, celebrants and photographers, and a link to book your pop-up wedding.  Most importantly, you get to choose combinations of items to get to the price that fits your budget.  The total cost calculates automatically. No surprises!

Q: Do we have to use your celebrant or photographer?
A: No. You can get a friend, relative or a professional not on our lists.

Q: Can I squeeze in a full reception in the time available?
A: The popup wedding format is aimed at delivering the most important parts of the day - the ceremony, photos at the venue and celebration drinks and canapes. It doesn't allow time for extensive speeches, a full sit-down meal, bringing in a DJ or band, or elaborate performances.  If you'd like to extend the celebration we recommend an after party at your home or elsewhere.

Q: Can I extend the time on my pop-up wedding?
A: The time allocation is strictly 2.5 hours. That said, there are other similar, but longer wedding options available that might suit you. Just message us to find out more.
