Questions & Answers

Q: How many people can we have at a pop-up wedding?
A: The minimum is 10 people, including the couple marrying. The maximum is 100.

Q: What times are the weddings?
A: At Tui Hills the start times are 1pm or 4pm, at Abel Estate 10am or 1pm.

Q: What days/dates are available?
A: The only restrictions are for premium dates on Friday and Saturday in Summer – September to April. Those are only available if booked less than six months before the wedding date.

Q: How does the pricing work?
A: You pay for venue hire –  which varies according to the season –  plus an amount per person for food and drink. Children aged 2-12 are half price, under two years free. Styling, the Celebration Package, cake, celebrant and photographer are additional. You can also hire items in the Celebration Package individually.  There are no minimum guest numbers, but each season and day is covered by a minimum spend.

Q: How do we choose what we want?
A: It’s easy. We send you an online proposal that includes menus, information about upsize choices, celebrants and photographers, and a link to book your pop-up wedding.  Most importantly, you get to choose combinations of items to get to the price that fits your budget.  The total cost calculates automatically. No surprises!

Q: Can we to use our own celebrant or photographer?
A: Yes. You can get a friend, relative or a professional not on our lists.

Q: Can I squeeze in a full reception in the time available?
A: The popup wedding format is aimed at delivering the most important parts of the day – the ceremony, photos at the venue and celebration drinks and canapes. It doesn’t allow time for extensive speeches, a full sit-down meal, bringing in a DJ or band, or elaborate performances.

Q: Can I extend the time on my pop-up wedding?
A: Yes, by an hour from 2.5 hours to 3.5 hours. You can decide which option suits you best when you book.
